Why John Walker Lindh Should Be Freed-- And Why He Won't Be

Some people think Johnny Taliban or Rat Boy should be freed. I say execute that mother****er.

My only problem is that he will be released.  He beat the system, he will be in his mid-forties when he gets out.  That agent he murdered during the uprising doesn't get to see his family again.  No, Walker met every pre-condition the constitution sets out for treason.  He deserved to be shot.

This Poster is attempting to rewrite history. The US never supported a taliban Afghan Govt. The Taliban ,primarily Pakistani came to Afghanistan & filled the power void left when the Russians pulled out of Afghanistan after something like 10 yrs of battle for control.

John Lindh was captured with forces that were engaged ln direct confrontation with US & coalition forces in Afghanistan.
