If Barack Obama is relected in 2012, he will join the ranks of the greatest presidents in ..........
....... American history.
This country is so monumentally ****ed up that it will take a president of extraordinary wisdom and one gifted - truly gifted - as a leader to make it successfully through the first four years.
I dunno.
One of my gut instincts about 2009 is that I have this really uneasy feeling that by the time next year's over, decent and civilized people will be feeling sorry for 0bama, while his idolators will be crucifying him.
I know that sounds odd, but actually that's what usually happens.

2. Obama already is one the greatest
A good chance that we will see his image on Mount Rushmore within our lifetimes.

3. Really ..... ?
Isn't that a bit premature?
Right now he is nothing more than "Great Potential", to be honest.

4. Perhaps
Breaking the glass ceiling of racism is a already massive achievement. That alone will put his picture on a piece of currency or coinage someday in future.
Breaking this glass ceiling will open up doors for millions of African Americans in a very indirect, but ultimately real way.

5. All true ......
.... but little of that is by way of true greatness. It is simply by way of trait.

7. Funny .Some on DU take offense and say he can't be criticized for appointments because he isn't yet Prez but apparently some think he can be considered among the "greats" even though he hasn't yet taken office? Sheesh. This is beyond ridiculous!
I dunno.
