Most of us Democrats stood unified with George W Bush right after 911

We didn't bat an eye, and we joined as one with our Republican step-brothers and step-sisters at a time the country needed us to be one unit with a single purpose of defending America. Unfortunately, Bush took a glorious opportunity for this country to become unified and he managed to flush it down the toilet with lie after lie, followed by corruption of the highest order, and a war for oil instead of justice. The rest is history.

Now it's time for our Republican counterparts to give Obama the same chance we gave Bush back in '01. It's time for them to show they're willing to be patriotic, only for real this time, and give Obama a chance to heal the monumental damage that Bush has done to this country. They're not getting off to a very good start by running those idiotic campaign-style negative TV ads that are trying to link Obama to Blago, among other poor examples of solidarity.

We Democrats have been patriotic from the start. Let's see if Republicans can garner up some patriotism and throw their support behind Obama at this equally crucial time in our country for everyone to work together. The least they can do is give him a chance to restore the honor and dignity to our country that Bush has taken away.

There has not been one second in my life where libs didn`t try to make political hay out of any event or situation.....not once.

They were screaming from the hilltops to federalize airport security to gain service union jobs and the voters smacked them for it in 2002.

The safety and security of a country they hate has never been their priority.
