Franken’s attorney Marc Elias told reporters Monday that the campaign plans to retract some challenges this week instead of asking the state Canvassing Board to decide them. Asked how many, Elias would only say it will be “more than dozens.â€As of Monday night, Coleman was up 344 votes.

Franken May Appeal To Senate, CourtsHere's more background from The Hill: Minnesota's Board of Canvassers ruled last Wednesday that it would not revisit the improperly disqualified ballots. Elias said that of the 12,000 disqualified absentee ballots in the race, "as many as 1,000″ ballots were improperly excluded, and should be counted. Elias said it would appeal to the Board of Canvassers, courts, or even the U.S. Senate to ensure those ballots be counted. The U.S. Constitution allows each congressional chamber to be the "Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members." Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called the Board of Canvassers' decision to not count the absentee ballots "a cause for great concern," fueling speculation that the Senate would explore the legality of the Minnesota recount's results. "If ultimately there is no remedy before the canvassing board or before the courts, then that is certainly an option," Elias said of appealing to the Senate./quote] Link

I think that's how the whole "Bush stole the election" meme got started: typical DUmp monkey ignorance and unwillingness to understand the electoral process.
171 uncounted ballots turn up; gain for FrankenThe final day of recounting in Ramsey County in the U.S. Senate race kicked up controversy today when 171 uncounted ballots from Maplewood turned up. The ballots apparently had been uncounted because of a ballot-counting-machine malfunction on Election Day.Democrat Al Franken made a net gain of 37 votes from the ballots, as he got 91 of the total, to 54 for Republican Sen. Norm Coleman and 26 for other candidates, including Dean Barkley of the Independence Party.Once those were counted, election officials found that there appeared to be 31 more ballots cast than the number of voters who signed in or voted by absentee ballot at Maplewood's Sixth Precinct, at the Hazelwood Fire Station. Shortly after, they said the explanation was that registration cards accompanying absentee ballots hadn't been recorded, as they should have been; when they were recorded, the number of voters and ballots matched. The ballot counter malfunctioned after 171 ballots had been fed into the machine, said Ramsey County elections manager Joe Mansky said. When the machinery was replaced, the ballots were in the ballot box but went uncounted until today's recount. Link
