Minty the pony finds love online... while Perkins the terrier seeks female friend after owner places lonely hearts adTo be honest, Minty was a tough sell - even on the internet where lonely hearts are occasionally less than strictly honest about their attributes.Heartbroken, one-eyed and, at 25, getting a little long in the tooth for a pony, the Shetland was looking at a bleak future until Mini-Moo rode to the rescue. She was matched up with Minty by Julia Gibbons, who scoured the internet for a partner for her pony after he was left forlorn following the death of his long-term companion Lulu earlier this year. Despite the age difference, Mini-Moo, a five-year-old miniature Shetland, and Minty have become inseparable at the Tamar Valley Donkey Park near Gunnislake, Cornwall.Mrs Gibbons, 65, who owns the park, said: 'Minty was distraught when Lulu died. He constantly whinnied for her. We tried to encourage him to befriend some of the donkeys but he wasn't interested. Then we had the idea of going online to find a new partner. -snip-
