My new monitor!
« on: November 04, 2008, 07:11:05 PM »
My old (15 inch) flat screen spontaneously combusted and I found myself in need of a shopping trip. Complicated, of course, by the fact that I hate shopping and also had no internet access (visable anyway) to aide the trip.

Long story short after many stores and many hours of looking a wise old friend called with a temporary solution and some good advise. She said "Dude, why not use my dusty old monitor and take advantage of the comming Christmas season sales or even, day after Christmas sales". Good point. I've been burning up the credit cards as it is, lol.

So for as long as I can stand it... this is my NEW monitor...

 :rotf:

My next new monitor will be 19-22 inches and a flatscreen.  :-)

Edit to resize pics.

Edit again, resize FAIL.

Is that pot in that planter?

And I assume you have an IMSI 80/80 behind that monitor?  I am impressed you can post to CC using a Hex Pad!

Free is always the best price -- but all my stuff like that is on exhibit with the Tut's Tomb traveling museum.

Yes, but fearing I would kill it, my dealer agreed to sell me plastic pot.  :p

You can have my old 15 inch for free (+ shipping) if you don't mind that it does not work.

I remember the first time I saw a monitor that didn't have green characters on a black background.  Blueish characters on a black background -- COOOL!

No it's fine, the goofy shoutbox forcing the page  to refresh or something, it screws up my display.

One CAN disable the refresh on the shout box.........  :thatsright:

I have never used the shout box -- I think it is for pansies.  Like smilies.

I keep the shoutbox hidden, and the refresh disabled.

Doesn't anyone else have a dual monitor set-up?  (22" widescreen LCD as primary and 19" widescreen as my secondary.)
