I thought that his links were helpful, especially to the different pundits to get relevant information from the left and from the right. But something happened to Drudge on his way to a likely Obama victory next week. He exposed himself as a total immoral blogger who did not vet his information and whenever he was wrong, which is now quite frequent, he does not have the integrity to admit it and move on. Case in point, the B-Girl Ashley Todd, a complete hoax pushed into the national agenda by Drudge and the McCain campaign. How did it turn out? A lie. Did we see or hear anything from Drudge? No.Here is why Drudge is dying a slow death. Compare him to the Huffington Post, 538.com and Andrew Sullivan, for instance. The Huffington Post has many columnists who participate in this blog offering a whole variety of points of view. Arianna has done a great job with the physical presentation of her blog. Excellent reading and classy presentation. Now look at 538.com. Nate Silver has used his great talent in sports statistics and information to project it into a great blog, a one-stop site to get the most relevant information on the state of the race; same with Andrew Sullivan. Furthermore, during the primaries, 538.com had people in the contested states giving us up to date, raw information about the way that real Americans were voting. On Election Day, Andrew Sullivan will have live blogging from the battleground states to tell us how this historic election is developing. So there is no need for Drudge. Don't get me wrong, the Drudge Report had its place in politics at one time in our national psyche. Unfortunately for Mr. Drudge, it is no longer relevant. Its presentation is amateurish and clumsy. The headlines are pure fabrication; it is antiquated. So my recommendation is to go to the Huffington Post, 538.com and Andrew Sullivan. And let's not forget to mention, Democratic Underground. It is a great place to interchange ideas, concerns (yes, concerns..) and promote hope in our collective American future. It does not matter if we have all kind of opinions, we are under the same umbrella to promote a better future for ourselves, our children and great-grandchildren.And remember, NO DRAMA OBAMA. Stay calm, cool and collected because we are going to win this one.
