by filling out a voter registration card? no dem voter registration, no diploma at any US
college or university?
why would a man that would stoop to these lows in order to knowingly and illegally register
voters NOT use the power of the central government to coerce voter registration? this is
exactly the sort of person that should never be granted the reins of government.
Springsteen's Obama Gig Causes Concern
Saturday's free concert at Logan Square by Bruce Springsteen, for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, has caused concerns among city officials.
"Concertgoers have to fill out a voter registration form for admission," said Vito Canuso, chairman of the Republican City Committee. "There is a potential to disrupt the voter registration process."
Fears exist of the Philadelphia voter registration office being swamped with 11th hour applications, increasing the likelihood of fraudulent registrations being approved. The deadline for voter registration in Pennsylvania is Oct. 6, the Monday following the concert.
However, Republicans are not alone in their apprehension.
Philadelphia's Election Commission has already put the organizers of the concert on notice they will be responsible for separating the new applications by county. Any applications lacking the appropriate county will not be processed.
The Voter Registration Administration said they are expecting as many as 50,000 applications from the concert.
