In Dems' fantasies, Epstein did nothing but abuse and pander under-age girls. In real life, he also had his financial and connection-brokering businesses by which he had connections and sought connections with people not interested or aware of his perversions.
He collected news articles about people's businesses, mentioned people in emails to other people, cold-called people, mingled and met people at parties, etc., etc., etc.. All legal, almost or entirely sleaze-free. That a random Dem would be mentioned somewhere in the millions of files is so unsurprising that a Dem Congress-Critter NOT mentioned should wonder why they were not.
Of course, Swillwell's liaison with the Chinese spy might have "earned" him Epstein's attention for more than stock tips.
