To be clear, this DUmmy is upset that the slanted news coverage of the Kirk assassination isn't slanted enough.

I'm thoroughly sick of the grave dancing all over the internet, DU included.  I was never a fan of cancel culture, but them's the rules.  I hope everybody who participated in that vile behavior loses their job and then loses everything else.  I hate them.  And this compounds the great sadness I already feel.  We didn't used to act this way as a society. 

Watched some Youtube videos last night about how a great number of people are turning their backs on the Demonrat party because of it.

What I've been seeing the past 10 or 20 years has been sad to me. Hating people for having different social and political ideas just was not where we were a very few decades ago.

The fall-out from the assassination and Haters pouring out their hatefulness may have lasting political effects. Many MOR liberals have been jammed into a chasm between going along with it all and realizing that this is what the Dem Party has become but NOT what they themselves are.

As the line from, IIRC, Star Trek went, having is not always as satisfying as wanting.

Dems and Progs have for years fantasized about exactly such an assassination. Now that one happened, they're learning that even many Dem voters abhor this fulfilled wish. Not foreseeing that is like having your head up your @$$ so far that you see the world from behind your teeth.

BTW, Erika Kirk looks to be a formidable lady (Widow Grizzly?), and many Christians and social-political conservatives have been energized, not cowed, by this. Pyrrhus might be face-palming in Hades.
