However, the brutal reality is that Carney embarrassed Canada by going "ELBOWS DOWN" when he backed off from a digital services tax when Big Daddy Trump threatened to break off trade talks if it was not rescinded. Trump gets what many pols either don't or ignore: US dependence on Country Name for Commodity means Country Name is dependent on the US as a buyer of that Commodity. Trump is using that interdependence to negotiate fair tariffs for US products. Canada dropping this attempt to leech off of successful US companies is more fruit of this strategy.
