I have a less-than-modest-proposal:

Since Joni Ernst, in response to being “told” that if Medicaid funds are diminished, that people will die, said “Everybody dies.”, then this should become the Watchword of Our Faith, to wit:

Of course, there will be those who feel that this would be harsh and would lower us to them. Yes. Exactly. And that’s why it will work every time. We are just quoting a Republican Senator. Don’t like it? Tough shit to you. I don’t like a Party which uses the Constitution to wipe its ass.

You know, some years ago there was that congressman from Florida, can’t recall his name right now, a Jewish fellow, who stood on the House floor and stated that the Republican’ health care plan was for someone to die quickly. The Left went berserk on his ass, he was shunned and primaried successfully if I recall correctly, and that was it for him. Forever from a national standpoint.

Anytime a Republican or family member has an illness or a death, our response should be a shrug of the shoulders and the statement-with-certitude : “As Republican Senator Joni Ernst once said, ‘Everybody dies.’”

Of course, there will be those who feel that this would be harsh and would lower us to them. Yes. Exactly. And that’s why it will work every time. We are just quoting a Republican Senator. Don’t like it? Tough shit to you. I don’t like a Party which uses the Constitution to wipe its ass.

Well, he was exactly right: and playing Mr Nice Guy thereafter got us THIS but here’s the good news.

It’s beginning to fall apart already. The combination of radical change for the disassembly of the government coupled with the narcissistic insanity of the Party, joined with the obvious mental decline of the Orange Man is causing uncertainty and waves of fear and then regret. Oh and it’s much worse than we know publicly: the reason for the Biden “coverup” conspiracy is that a huge effort is presently being expended to coverup Orangina’s deficits in his mental acuity and faculties. That’s how they’ve always worked: projection. In fact, you know what’s going on on their side by what they say is going on on the Democratic side. It’s just so obvious that it hurts, but the vast number of double-digit IQ Americans, and by definition that’s half of all Americans, but into it.

I’ll leave you with this: when I was about twelve, I read a transcript of the 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast. Of course I read further about the widespread panic it caused. My mom and dad laughed: they said that it was obviously a radio drama broadcast and they had been listening to Mercury Theater and Orson Welles every week and if for no other reason the timeline was impossible, it’s not like the show was twenty hours long and in the space of 40 minutes the civilized part of the world had been conquered and a few minutes later, the creatures were all dead of disease. As they said to me: it was a great story but ridiculous. People who listened to more than a few minutes would absolutely know that it wasn’t really happening and if the dialed another station, it was business as usual. But…it demonstrated the fear and madness of crowds and the failing of people to think just for a moment. And that is what we are living through today: a failure to think for just one moment.

I know this thread was from him just by reading the subject line. What a complete Jag off. 🖕

My goodness, Democrats project so much that they even project their projection onto Republicans. ::)

The coverup of Biden's decline isn't a conspiracy theory, it's happening in plain sight, and has been for some time. It isn't projection when we can point to the coverup of Biden's decline, and say "Look! They're covering up Biden's mental decline."

* Did Ernst actually say this?

* If so, was she being literal are sarcastic?

* If so, what was the context? Was it even Medicare?

* If so, why was a "reporter" parroting Dem talking points instead an actual non-partisan question?

note how when Preezy Shit Midas and the democrat congress actually cut medicare to fund the unaffordable care act through budget trickery, nobody at the low IQ DUmp said word one about it.

PCImbecile is a lying DUmbass lunatic. The only "cuts" are to medicaid for fraud, waste, and illegal invaders..... but I repeat myself.

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

My understanding is the comment was made in reference to Medicaid. And I wouldn’t care if it was made in reference to either of them.

I’ve never seen anything in the constitution that allows the government to take my money to pay for anyone’s healthcare.

Is it a good idea?  I don’t know. Could people who don’t prepare die?  Absolutely. But just because something sounds good does NOT mean we have to do it!

We’ve lost our way Constitutionally when it comes to government programs.

Just my opinion.

Am familiar with this story and she did indeed say that "everyone dies". Well, that is an absolute fact. And she was referring to Medicaid according to the local stories I've read.

Most of you are aware that astro-turfed lefists are turning out to disrupt townhalls of conservatives in the DJT #47 term. Their "outrage" makes the news rather than the important discussions which are actually hashed out.

Senator Ernst was being flippant and likely it is being quoted out of context because the left HATES her.

I may sound harsh but I don’t care. I don’t believe it is constitutional to take my money to pay for others. I just don’t.

Having said that, I donate. I donate to several things and if the government wasn’t stealing from me I could donate more to the programs I support.

The problem with the Democrats, they know how to disrupt, but they don’t know how to discuss. They really could care less about America or it’s people all they’re interested in is power power to increase the debt and line their pockets with the money while they put America on the road to ruin and bankruptcy.

Dating as far back as summer 2015 and continually since, more or less every Trump-Said Gotcha Has been some combination of:

* Things Trump did not say;

* Pretzellated interpretations of things Trump said;

* Word or phrases ripped out of context;

* Literalizing sarcasm, metaphors or hyperbole-for-emphasis;

* Ignoring clear statements from Trump contradicting the Dems' and MSM's lying narrative.
