Decades of denigrating people working in the sciences as nerds and social misfits has born and is bearing predictable fruit.

Contrary to the H-1B visa myth, Starchucks and Peets and Dutch Bros aren't employing as baristas hordes of engineers and etc. displaced by H-1B visa engineers and etc.. Those H-1B visa engineers and etc. are largely "taking the places" of American choosing not to go into STEM careers.

Why do I get the feeling this is another one of these "I'm a conservative, but here's a bunch of left-wing talking points" nonsense stories? Is it because there are no specifics about how Trump is destroying STEM fields? Or the fact that the left isn't good at much other than information warfare?

 :bouncy:-fiction - like GoogTube Karen stories and fiction - tend to fall into obviously copy-catted patterns. Rando-strangers lash out in political talking-points-scripted anger or expressions of regret at Walmart or Piggly Wiggly or Target or a gas station or a fast food store (not CfA, because Progs hates CfA, Precious, they hates them :tongue: ) - conversations in public places that would never happen in real life.
