Heh. MAGA boat owner complaining about the economy yells at CNN reporter for pointing out that he has a boat.

A boat owner raised his voice at CNN journalist Elle Reeve for noting that he could afford the expensive hobby despite economic complaints.
The confrontation came while Reeve was covering a so-called MAGA boat parade in Panama City, Florida. The interview was replayed over the weekend.
"What's your most important issue?" Reeve asked the boat owner.
"The economy, getting the interest rates down, getting it to where we can afford to live in America," the man replied. "Right now, it's too expensive."
"Okay, now, let me maybe ask a slightly impolite question, but, you know, if you can afford a boat, you're not hurting so bad, right, because a boat costs a lot of money, and it's a lot of upkeep," Reeve noted.
"Listen, nobody gave me s---!" the man shouted back. "I'm a retired military, retired power plant, and I am successful and retired, with boats, jet skis, because I did it right."
So not only does he own a boat and jet skis but also is retired military and private sector which likely means he is double dipping on Federal Retirement and Social Security. Yeah we bleed for ya, buddy.
So, CNN and the DUmmies think they got a real gotcha moment, pointing out that someone who owns a boat might actually be concerned about the economy. They want everyone to believe that only the super-rich can actually own a boat. The problem is that the majority of the boats shown in the interview are not super expensive megayachts. The majority are 20-to-30-foot fishing boats and pontoon boats which, while expensive, are not so costly as to be out of the reach of a typical middle-class person. Most of the fishing boats in the video fall in the $100-200 thousand range, while the pontoon boats are around $50,000. An extravagance, but not so costly that one must be a millionaire to buy one. Also, conviniently snipped from the interview was this quote:
"I want interest rates to go back down," he said. "I want all that, but that covers everybody in the economy. Not just me, not just the poor, not just the rich. It covers everybody."
So, the guy being interviewed acknowledged that his concerns about the economy were about everyone, not just him, being adversely affected by Biden's policies. Of course, the DUmmies show off their hatred towards someone who can actually spend the money they earned on something they wanted, rather than being forced to fork over their money to the Government.

1. MAGA lies nonstop about the economy
There’s nothing wrong with it, but they need something to be mad about
Food prices are up ~20% over the last four years, gasoline prices are still 40-50% higher after running around 100% higher at the peak. But, yeah, there's nothing wrong with that.

46. Just don't deprive him of his Glenliver.
I assume the DUmmy was trying to spell Glenlivet. And, yet again, neither Grey Goose, nor Glenlivet are extraordinarily exotic brands available only to the ultra-rich. But I guess to a Dummy who drinks Ripple or boxed wine they seem that way.

7. That guy was a clueless idiot.
He says the economy is bad but a bunch of MAGAts are able to spend an entire day on their boats.
He might have realized how much of an idiot he sounded when she brought up the boat but would have never admitted it. He also seems to think inflation never was an issue until three years ago.
Yep, instead of spending the day in sackcloth in a monastery, they decided to go play in the water. And he didn't sound like an idiot, he was trying politely answer an exceptionally stupid question. Lastly, inflation hasn't been a significant issue for a number of years, until Biden got into office.

8. Rich enough for a boat, and hating the society that enabled the wealth
True USian exceptionalism. Individualism at its finest.
How is wanting inflation and interest rates to go down hating on society?

9. Inflation and undocumented immigration are really ruining their lives
as we can see as they enjoy their suffering on their fancy boats.
I'm gonna assume this one thinks anything bigger than a kickboard is a fancy boat.

14. This the piece that I probably won't ever get.
The people who have the most are the angriest about giving anyone else a hand up. It’s like the more I have the less willing I am to share or help my fellow humans. Chimps and elephants have a stronger sense of community and responsibility. The bottom line is none of us make it on our own.
A DUmmy finally said it out loud. How dare he spend his money on a boat!! He should be giving it to the Government to spend on people too lazy to work.

16. Clueless that his income came from us.
Years ago my military friends often were clueless about how highly subsidized by us their commisary groceries were. Listening to them rail against socialism was a lesson in cognitive dissonance.
I love when they compare people serving in the military to welfare recipients. Really shows you how they feel about our men and women in uniform.

27. You've got to admit, it's a struggle
Bidenflation has made it SO expensive to pay my chauffeur. I’ve had to keep the Bentley for another year and recently had to make the painful decision to let the chef at my vacation residence in Tahiti go.
If things stay as tough as they are, I may be forced to downgrade from Ossatrova to Petrossian Beluga caviar. This sort of belt tightening is destroying our country!
If it gets bad enough, I may need to keep the Gulfstream V rather than upgrading to a 6. I might even have to really cut back and fly first class! Shocking.
Yep, owning a 26 foot fishing boat is exactly the same as owning a Gulfstream.
On and on they go, hating on the rich...oops middle class. They probably don't know that a large percentage of people living on the water own boats. As many, if not most, of those people are blue-collar middle-class workers. But that would screw up CNN's twisted reporting. Better to believe that anyone that owns a boat is multimillionaire who needs to have their wealth confiscated. They believe we won't all be equal, until we are all equally poor and we should be trying to emulate Venezuela's economic policies. F'ing idiots.
