Election Day is Also Guy Fawkes Day this year

Do what you wish with this information.  Will it inspire certain folks to certain actions?  Don't know, just noticed it and find it to be an interesting alignment.

The Guy Fawkes phenomenon is a fascinating study IMHO.  An assassination attempt in 1605 on the British Parliament and King James I was busted, the Brits started celebrating the thwarting of that plan by shooting fireworks and burning effigies of Fawkes.  The celebrations continued, but after about 200 years, Guy evolved into an action hero for penny dreadfuls, or a sympathetic martyr, and even a inspiration for people disgruntled against the British government, getting referred to as "the only man to enter Parliament with honest intentions."  Another 150 years and change later, his image was used by Alan Moore for the protagonist in V For Vendetta, which led to protest groups like Occupy Wall Street and Anonymous to adapt the Guy Fawkes mask for their causes.
Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

 :naughty:

As if there weren't enough factors contributing to Election Day being a day of absolute mayhem this year. Now I need to go look and see if it will be a full moon as well. That would make the mayhem circle complete.

I think the English could use a new revolution to get their freedom back.

As for us if demonstrators try to disrupt elections wearing one of these masks it would make for a great trophy to hang on your wall. With or without the head  :thatsright:

It's getting bad across the pond.  Arresting citizens for mean tweets, threatening to try and extradite non-citizens for the same (they specifically mentioned Musk) while stabbings, sexual assaults and other violence by a specific group of people keeps getting ignored, among other things all point to something taking over the country.  Whether it's Sharia law or Big Brother or the spirit of 76 remains to be seen.

I know none of them have the slightest clue how to use it, but if "third parties" supplied them with a ton or six of ANFO, would anybody but the Deep State object?  :fuelfire:
