Kraft’s new Mac & Cheese is ditching the cheese and going vegan.

For the first-time ever, the household staple is going plant-based with a new version of the boxed favorite that contains a dairy-free alternative to its signature cheese. It’s called “Kraft NotMac&Cheese” and will soon roll out on grocery store shelves in two flavors — original and white cheddar with shells — each priced at $3.49 per box.

$3.49 a BOX???!!!  You can get store brand without the vegan for about 67 cents.  Kraft is going to lose their shirt on this.

from the food bank. It was tasty! The sauce was cashew-based and, along with the texture, it definitely fulfilled the macncheese craving. Yum!

Oh please.  They always sound like they're trying to talk themselves into the decadent deliciousness of vegetarianism.

They should call it Mac and petroleum byproducts.  Charging real food prices for drech  :thatsright:

I coulda swore that while his wife's main schtick was Heinz Corp, John F'n Kommie - who "served" in Vietnam, doncha know - was also pretty heavily laden with the burdens of Kraft Foods ownership as well.
