I'm so mad/upset I could spit...
So this afternoon, a man came by the dental office in which I toil and paid his bill in cash. He made a special big deal over one of the bills , a $5 note, and when the receptionist turned it over it read: **** JOE BIDEN In capital letters written by a black magic marker.
She exclaimed shock and I said, “This country is going to Hell.” And she said, “You’re right. I feel like hanging this on my desk.”
I visibly winced and retorted, “Not in my presence, if you please.” and turned around and walked into my nearby office and closed the door, something I almost never do.
Terrible. And no…I’m not quitting my job and I’m not getting on a soapbox there. It’s my workplace. As an aside, the owners are liberals and good people and “warned” me about this in advance of my employment there. It’s South Jersey, home of the Klan.
I find this hilarious. His entire day wrecked by a silly insult. Kind of like how upset they get when they see the Biden stickers on gas pumps. The thread is short and stupid, but his response to an inconsequential encounter has me LOLing.
And when did South Jersey become "Home of the Klan"?

1. I thought is was a crime to deface US currency?

Why do DUmmies post link to articles they either don't read or don't understand. The linked article clearly states that its only a crime if it makes the bill unusable and obviously the bill was usable since the Demented Dentist accepted it.

3. Sorry to hear some Neo-Nazi trDump lover took a dump on your day.
That is part and parcel of their routine of owning the Libs. I hope he gets a throbbing tooth ache.
Only three posts in before the word "Nazi" comes out. And when it comes to the concept of "owning the Libs", I'd say this was pretty successful since he's spent the entire afternoon and evening upset.

5. I am sorry. I feel like I am missing something from this incident.
What is triggering him to write such thing on the $5 note? Is it because the bill is too "expensive" and somehow he attributed it to "inflation" from Biden?
Maybe it's my fault for trying to think this through logically.
I don't think it's the patient that is triggered. I think the person posting on DU well into the evening, hours after he got home from work, is the one who is triggered.

16. Demand a non defaced bill next time. Let him be $5 short. Bill him for it. When he doesn't pay
the balance send him to collections and ruin his credit score.
Yeah I'm that petty now
Ummm….It's legal tender. Guess who would lose that fight in court.

20. Jeez...
Not my office, not my employee, not my patient, not my say as to what happens there.
Believe me, in my practice it’d gone down differently.
He's such a bad ass.
