It will take a year or more to start the Trump trial...

I have heard a couple of "experts" on TV say. Which would only leave 6 or 7 months until the next election.

However, if there is a federal charge by the DOJ, then it would move ahead of the misdemeanor charge, and whatever charges may arise from the Stormy Daniels (Michael Cohen) investigation?

Most agree it is not the most serious of the charges.

Will they save the obstruction charge for last? After GA has indicted for campaign fraud?

Who will be next?

 :thatsright:

One is a State court- the other would be a federal court, another is in a different state... they don't all happen in the Southern District of NYC... in one building... in one courtroom... under one judge...

1. A trial such as this needs to be fast tracked in the national interest!!!

More banana republic shit.

5. Trump's rights appear to be the only important and sacred rights involved.

We must let him destroy our democracy because his rights are the most
important consideration in the entire American justice system.

The safety of the the country and American people don't seem to matter.

Trump can start as many riots, put people in danger,
and create as much damage to the country as he wants.

We have to let him drag out all of his court hearings for many more years.
By which time he may have indeed burned it all down.

Anybody else who had started an insurrection, stolen classified documents, and threatened
judges and prosecutors, would have been in jail a long time ago.

3. If anyone is giving odds on the date of first testimony in front of a jury... Take the over.

There is going to be a nearly unfathomable number of pretrial motions and whatnot.

10. What is up with GA?

Indictments were called imminent but it has seemed like radio silence since Georgia legislators/defendants voted that they could fire Fani at any time.

14. Things seem to have gone pretty cold...

Once the GA legislature voted that they can fire an elected DA. Doesn’t seem like people possibly getting indicted should be able to grant themselves the power to fire the person investigating them. Wondering if higher courts need to get involved before the case moves forward?

Perhaps there is more news on this. Not sure if the legislature vote has been put into law yet, I do remember there was some mention that it might take time for this to happen, although the process could be sped up if an urgency arises.

15. I'm sure Trump can keep quiet for a year and won't say anything in public that will

hurt his case or lead to additional charges. If I know one thing about Trump, it is that he has total self control.

 :rotf:

ok, that one was funny.

Since the purpose of Bragg's shamdictment was to impede a run for President, Trump should, among other motions, demand his Constitutionally guaranteed speedy trial. At every delay he should move for dismissal with prejudice.

And since Bragg is trying to destroy Trump's political career, ethics complaints should be filed against Bragg at the NY state level (just to force Bragg to spend time and $$ defending himself). And at the Federal level if Bragg is allowed to argue cases in Federal courts.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.
