A Morning thought...

I am of the firm belief the Congress should convene a special select committee to investigate Madison Cawthorn’s accusations that there are drug-fueled orgies ongoing in Congress. Testimony under oath should be taken, cell phone records should be subpoenaed, and public hearings in primetime need to be televised.

If you think that this is a Swiftian proposal, think again. If AOC had stated that she had participated, or been invited to participate, in a drug fueled orgy, and the Republicans were in control, you would not stop hearing about it, seeing animation online, reading breathless reports of the progress of the investigation from virtually everyone in Fox News as well as all the other networks. As Democrats, we shake our heads and smile, because we are just so “above it all”, and go about our business of “governing with politesse”, while this bunch of lunatics strips the rights of half of the citizens of the United States with the stroke of a pen. And believe me, this is just for starters… After they ban contraception and interracial marriage and same-sex marriage, they’re going to go after due process, the right to an attorney, and anything else they can find. By the time they are done they’ll make North Korea look like Canada.

3. We should concentrate our efforts toward saving freedom & ejecting conservative tyranny

I'm not sure if these orgies are a symptom or a tool or a sideshow. Some of these clowns will be gone from Congress in 6 months with or without hearings. Meanwhile ... insurrectionists and a coup plot on display, and SCOTUS tilting society toward conservative privilege and punishment. We have bigger fish to fry.

6. I agree to a degree...

I don't like the kid gloves approach the Dems default to...and I am certainly not above kicking the Repubs where it hurts. But, isn't it a consenting adult's right to have orgies if they so choose? I'm not messing with anyone's rights, especially for political expedience. The rebukes have plenty of legitimate violations of law to go after that are equally disgusting. Let's expose and go after those.

7. Disagree:

This is the party of family values and ethics and morals. They need to be exposed for everything that they are, and no holds barred because for us there is no holds barred. If there is cocaine use or any other recreational illegal drug use in Congress then this needs to be exposed and people need to pay the penalty as anyone else would be obliged to. I am sick and tired of giving them all the benefits of the doubt and no penalties for flagrant fouls.

Wait, what?!

Just when you think the person's post can't be any stupider, they conclude with "they'll make North Korea look like Canada".

Hey, um, I don't know if you've noticed, but Canada is already doing that to itself.

Yes, we all saw Elizabeth Warren acting all insurrectiony and coup-like in front of the Supreme Court building!  As usual, she sounded like she was going to burst into tears.

These children are insane.  How do you get from putting abortion back to a state decision to banning any of this stuff?  And how do you miss that Canada has been taking some cues from Rocketman, arresting pastors, enforcing lockdowns by force, arresting  protesters?  Cause it wasn't covered by the leftwing propaganda machine, that's how.  Speaking of the propaganda machine...

19. Thinking back to when Bill Clinton got impeached

... for a blow-job!

I remember when he was impeached for perjuring himself (that's lying under oath for you Rio Lindaite lurkers)about said activities, not the activities themselves.  Now think back to the 3 attempts to impeach Trump that started before he was even sworn in which all proved to be more fake than a wrestling story line.

Has anyone of any note on the right even mention interracial marriage let alone banning it? Where is the left pulling this from (other than their asses)?

After they ban contraception

I've heard this one a few times, and have to admit to being a little puzzled by it.

The American pro-life movement has been a coalition principally comprising Evangelicals and Catholics (with other honourable mentions as well). Whilst Catholics are opposed to contraception, it does not follow that we have to work to ban it. More significantly, every Evangelical whose views on the subject I've known hasn't had a problem with contraception (by which I mean real contraception, not abortifacients marketed as emergency contraception) and see it as a perfectly legitimate option for a married couple. So as I see it, the wide 'killing babies is wrong' coalition dissolves as soon as it goes near condoms or the pill. Am I missing something?

Your endoscope in accurate.

"Interracial marriage" is a term I loathe. Persons of European, Asian, African, North American, South American, and Australian ethnic origin are all of one race, Human. FWIW, I have a child-in-law, who was welcomed into our family from the first time we met them. So my actions and words are consistent.

My understanding is that Catholic teaching concerning contraception is considered binding only on Catholics. I've not heard significant Catholic voices advocating a law forbidding contraception generally (I've not heard any, but there may be outliers out there somewhere). As to Evangelical Christians, I've heard zero opposition to any form of contraception that is not an abortifacient. But facts mean nothing when Progs lie about the views of people they oppose/hate.

As a Republican, let me say without equivocation or reservation I would NOT want an investigation of a drug-fueled Democrat orgy.

The details of Jerrold Nadler and Maxine Waters oiled up and frolicking in the firelight is just not something I need to hear about.

I'm not up to speed so I won't offer an opinion on Madison Cawthorn and his democrat drug fueled orgy accusations.

However, knowing nothing else, the constant coordinated attacks on him by all the wrong people and organizations indicate what he said was/is true.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
