So, I looked to see just what they claim is on the copy of the hard drive they say was
from Hunter Biden's laptop.
I was wondering what changed since we heard this story a couple years ago when the NY Post put it out.
Evidently the Washington Post authenticated emails on the copy of the HD they received. I don't remember doubting they had real copies of his emails, or that he had dealings in China that might be shady. It was the whole laptop story that stunk to high heaven. They aren't telling us the truth about how they got that.
Can you say, "Unsuccessful attempt at diversion"?
IRL, Hunter abandoned the laptop, because dopers forget @#$%, especially when the $$ they spread like manure is coming in like a flood. The repair shop dude got tired of holding the abandoned laptop (and probably of not being paid for his work), so he looked at its contents. When he saw whose laptop it was (I don't think he knew) and some of its contents, he knew news of it needed to get out. So he took it to the NYP (and possibly other "news" outlets). IOW, however much DU-grade Progs and Dems hate the contents being revealed, there was nothing illegal or shady in how the contents became public.
As for the WashPost's and NYT's affirmation of the contents being genuine, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... . The NYP revelation was published in October 20
20. It is now 2022. For 16 or 17 months the NYT, WashPost, CNN, and the rest of the MSM wrote off the story as "Russian Propaganda" (how many DU-threads parroted this lie?), even though they had ample reason to believe it to very likely be true. They did this because it threatened Biden's Presidential Campaign, and there was a
Bogey-Trump to defeat.
How significant is it that Hunter didn't file papers that he was a paid lobbyist for two or more foreign companies? Ask Paul Manafort about that.
How significant is it that "The Big Guy" who was supposed to get a 10% cut was VP Biden? Can you say
Pay to Play?
How significant is it that Hunter's laptop had email encryption keys to several DoD email addresses? I'll bet a fourth-rate hacker's apprentice could explain the enormity of that potential security risk!
