US Population
I was in a grocery store today with one of those "Remember When" card racks. I always look at them, for interesting historic info.
The thing that struck me today was the card from 1962. US population today is over 330 million. 60 years ago it was less than half that. Probably similar for the rest of the world.
There are just too damn many people. The world is overpopulated. I haven't got an answer for the problem, but this planet can only sustain a limited number of people and I would guess that number is smaller than the current population.
Never Fails, Not EverAlways cited without proof that there are too many people. Recall that to the socially avoidant, COVID-obsessed DUmmies, anyone nearby is "too many people."
I seem to recall, but am too lazy to find, a study that was much-lauded on DU that projected that the world's population of honkies is decreasing, while the vaunted and revered POC population is increasing. If true, which I believe is the case, then claims of overpopulation is
RACIST, right?
The world is not overpopulated:
The entire population could fit in a small portion of the Grand Canyon, or, equivalently, in an older pair of Stacey Abrams' drawers. Slightly more realistically, if every person in the world lived in the US, each person would have approximately a quarter acre to himself (although, again, those near Stacey Abrams' quarter acre would need to make some sort of deal). If you include Canada and Mexico, that's well over half an acre for all, or, said differently, room for Stacey Abrams to sit comfortably.
Regarding resources, there is enough arable land and fresh water to sustain the world for eons, and enough animals to provide food for eternity. If China, Japan, Indonesia, and India could stop polluting the oceans with the worthless crap they produce, fishing would be even more sustainable.
If, after all this, the DUmmies still think there are too many people, there are solutions in many calibers for them to choose from. I suggest .380, but 12-gauge is known to be effective as well.
Not sure how to reduce the volume of Stacey Abrams, however.
