kentuck (103,204 posts)If no one is above the law...?If the testimony of witnesses and the evidence says that Donald Trump should be charged with a crime, should there be any hesitancy in charging him? What about threats from his cult? What about the precedent of charging a President or former President with a crime? In my opinion, there should be no hesitation. We should not only expect our elected leaders to follow the law - we should expect them to set an example. If they break the law, they should be punished severely, moreso than the average Joe, because they are representing our people and our Constitution and should adhere to the laws of the land.If he is guilty of incitement to insurrection or treason, then he should not be let off lightly. He should not be charged with something as trivial as a jaywalking offense. He should be made an example. As Glenn Kirschner is fond of saying, "Justice matters."https://www.democraticunderground.com/100215911753
So Kentuck just wants all Conservatives in camps.

Where was this talk of “no one is above the law” when Clinton and Obama were in office? It’s the abandonment of consistency that buries leftists every time.
If no one is above the law......democrats have a lot of soul-searching to do.
