Governors Andrew Cuomo of New York and Gavin Newsom of California were most definitely the Democrat Golden Boys of 2020. Their political prospects were riding high to the extent that both were viewed as having excellent chances of reaching the White House in the near future. However, as you can see, both have sunk beneath the waves in 2021 and their political futures are now considered finished for good.

Cuomo is no longer useful, since Biden is now President.

Goobernor Noisome's fate is less certain. While the recall people probably will get enough valid signatures, that Noisome will in fact be recalled is less certain. And even if he is, if another D or another Ahnold-the-RINO replaces him the improvement will be minor at best. Personally, I think Ahnold-the-RINO was worse than Gray Davis, who he replaced.
