Having a few beers at a local watering hole yesterday when I asked the bartendress, who was a nice sort, what she thought of Biden as Obama's running mate.
Mind you, I was relatively sure she was already an Obama supporter so I didn't want to get into an arguement or debate, just kind of feel her out. After the immediate, "Obama is going to win, people need to get used to that," blather, I asked her what she knew about Senator Biden.
After I pointed out that for all of Obama's talk about "change" he went and picked a guy who has been a Senator for 35 years, she (correctly, I might add) observed that Obama needed balance on the ticket, but then went on to admit she knew nothing of the guy.
This, dear and gentle reader, is my point. Six months to a year ago, few people knew anything of Obama. Today, despite 35 years inside the beltway, few people know of Biden's history. The more the "independent" voter finds out, the less likely they'll be to cast their ballot for the Barackstar! and the "I've got a higher IQ than you" plagarist.
Have at it.
