I did a little research on something he posted. The man who turned himself in for destroying Trumps star with a pick is named Austin Clay.

What prompted me to look this up was a meme that this guy posted. I won't post it here, but this is what it said...

TRUMP'S WALK OF FAME STAR DESTROYED. THE VILLAIN IS NO SURPRISE. Police say he's an illegal half-mexican, half-black socialist Muslim from California with ties to ANTIFA who was paid by Soros to cast illegal votes and start up BLM. His name is Barraco Clintez. SHARE IF YOU THINK THIS SHOULD BE A HATE CRIME! (then it shows a picture of some random black guy in an orange prison jump suit).

Well, I burst out laughing when I read this, until I saw he had a bunch of likes and affirmative comments of people believing this.

My point of making this post here is as follows. When I first started posting here, I made several OPs that essentially stated that social media will be the downfall of this country, as well as other countries. This was before all this stuff about the nefarious actions of facebook became known. I stand by that opinion today. Someone needs to collar the CEOs of these social media companies. The ****ers should be shut down because they can't and won't get their shit together. You may think that not many people believe horseshit such as this, but I'm starting to think that a large minority, or perhaps even a majority of people believe whatever is shown to them on facebook. This is a real problem...pure propaganda. If it is not curtailed, we will get another Trump after he is gone.

I find the quite plausible. Consider what happened:

* LuckyCharms' FB friend posted a grossly obviously satiric meme;

* Bunches of people "got it" and "Liked" it;

* MarshmallowBrain was too damn dumb to recognize the grossly obvious satire, thinks people he hates are "Liking" "fake news", and wants FB manglement people something-or-othered for allowing "fake news" to be posted.

I seldom use the pejorative, but ChuckyLarms truly is a DUmmy,     !

The irony of posting this ON SOCIAL MEDIA is totally lost to this idiot.  If HIS social media posting was pulled he would RAISE HOLY HELL.

For me if social media were to disappear tomorrow it would be a little sad, like when I lost the NFL.  But I would find alternatives like discovering Sundays exist between August and February.

They want partisan "censorship" such as Vice exposed yesterday.

DUpipo will probably be POed that Twitter "fixed" their shadow-ban. I see two different aspects to the "fix":

* That it was "fixed" in about 24 hours means the shadow-ban was in the SW by design;

* That it was "fixed" in about 24 hours means that part of the algorithm was a module that was easily "switched off", and could just as easily be "switched" back on.

From what I've seen on FB, at least a third of the population has completely broken satire detectors, and they seem to abound equally all across the political spectrum.  I have to say this one is entirely plausible, if one-sided.

Well, a FB Friend with a seldom used Fact-Checker posted the meme, though I'm not sure whether he was buying it or posting it satirically. A couple of people did Angry-Face "Like"-icons, so I posted that it was hilarious. I also asked whether "Barraco Clintez" was still shacking up with "Hilly O'Bummer". I figure my chances are 50-50 between people recognizing the satire or getting POed at me for being some kind of denier.

1 No fauxtoshops are necessary to show Creepy Joe being creepy. No impressionist did the "slight Indian accent" or "stand up Chuck" gaffes.

2 & 3 Never heard either of these. I've FB Friends of conservative and Prog POVs, and both occasionally post fake click-bait memes, but nothing that dumb. So I guess either I have a higher class of FB Friend than does underpants or underpants made up these "examples". As tempting as the first option is, given the DUpipo's screen name, it's probably the former.
