You know, ever since the primitives on Skins's island made me more race-conscious, more race-sensitive, I've been watching things so to ensure that formerly-overlooked, formerly-neglected groups have been appropriately recognized, so as to redress the balance.
But I wonder if it's gone too far, if the pendelum's swung way too much.
For example, there's a map of the world at this site
http://heavens-above.com/GroundTrack.aspx?lat=0&lng=0&loc=Unspecified&alt=0&tz=UCTwhich is tracking the Red Chinese space-ship that's supposed to land sometime soon.
Please notice that right smack dab in the middle of the map, the first thing one sees, is the continent of Africa, as if Africa's the most important continent in the whole world, as if Europe, Asia, and the whole western hemisphere are chopped liver.
Why Africa? Why not some other part of the world?
One suspects the map people are susceptible to political correctness, and pandering to certain groups.
I never thought this way until the primitives taught me to. But I think despite this new-found geographic recognition, they'd just as soon have reparations, money, to make up for past injustices.
