A few days ago on DU someone posted something that now makes more sense to me.

The post was about 2 GOP reps who wanted Sessions to be fired. Everyone was happy (the Dems I mean) but whoever wrote the article suggested that this was not good and the GOP reps had bigger plans for this. They wanted Sessions fired so that the Mueller Investigation could be derailed by the GOP more easily.
NOW I see what was going on a little more clearly. This is the plan! Also, Ryan and Nunes being called into meet with Rosenstein...and everything is the same! No one got into trouble. Ryan and Nunes are happy as campers. NOT GOOD NEWS!

...firing politically popular. We know its to can Mueller. That's how bad their hand is. What they're counting on, what these bullies are counting on just like in November 2000, is to be intimidated and let them get away with it.

We need to prepare to shut it all down, our donor class and our working people.

There were no details and we assumed it was about laying down the law against NUNES, but then we found out NUNES was not in trouble and got whatever he wanted.

Really, with the marijuana thing, Sessions is laying the groundwork for his OWN firing.  All the Left hates him, The Right hates him for his inability to keep the Mueller BS between the lines on actually investigating Russian involvement instead of a GOP purge, now he's got the Libertarians who support Trump pissed off, so his base of support is much smaller than Trump's.  He's about an inch from an 'I have lost confidence in his ability to lead...' announcement from the White House.
