An Omaha man was arrested Friday on suspicion of threatening U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa, authorities said.

Robert William Simet, 64, was arrested and criminally charged, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Iowa.
The FBI is investigating this case.
Simet was booked into the Pottawattamie County Jail in Council Bluffs. He has been scheduled to appear before a magistrate judge at 3 p.m. in Council Bluffs, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

If they mention this story at all, the DUmmies will either portray him as a false flag patsy, or a brave and noble hero whose actions everyone should follow.

According to this AP story, apparently the guy made a statement to the effect that he believed Sen. Ernst is a member of the Islamic State, and threatened to kill her at a particular appearance she was about to make.

Most articles "out there" have almost no info about the guy, but based on that one, he sounds like a loony-toon, a burnt-out druggee, or a member of some conspiracy-theory driven paranoid anri-government group. That latter option be pretty much hypothetical, I'll go with paranoid-schizophrenic loony-toon for now. Not that that precludes him also being a DU-member. :rimshot:
