EU to bypass Trump administration after Paris climate agreement pullout
Source: The Guardian

The European Union has rejected Donald Trumps offer to renegotiate the Paris climate agreement and pledged instead to bypass Washington to work with US business leaders and state governors to implement the historic accords commitments.

Less than 24 hours after the US president announced his decision to withdraw from the 2015 agreement and strike a new, less ambitious deal with the rest of the world, Brussels declared its outright refusal to engage in such talks.

EU officials will instead cut out the White House to deal directly with the US states and major corporations, many of whom have already pledged to live by the terms forged in Paris.

You see so-called pResident, you removed the US from the table. The rest of the world will now lead on this one.
Actually, the republiCons and trump are so horrible, we might see more progress now. Who knows, we will have to see this play out.

How stupid can you be to think corporations and states will freely give billions of dollars to the EU or this whoe Paris accord scam.
Most if not all of the states mentioned are BROKE,  And I don't think share holders want to piss away a company's wealth either.

France seems to have forgotten we had to go to war to get them their country back, the Germans also forgot who saved them from the Russians. As for Brussels, we don't give a shit if you don't want to renegotiate, there is nothing good in this for us.

Europe is ****ed, they are lazy, idealistic socialists who are broke and will in the very near future lose their countries to the muslims who they let in.

So EU Piss off.

I think this is largely fantasy fluff. But if states try doing diplomacy, that's a Federal offense. Even an idiot like Moonbeam would think long and hard about an involuntary relocation to a certain facility in Lompoc.

And then in back of these EU "leaders" many Euro industries are going to want to chat with those "leaders" about having to compete with American industries that aren't shackled by that Paris Agreement.

Some idiot at DU Jr was claiming a failure to adopt the taxes and regulations of the Paris Accord would drive businesses overseas.

They honestly think we only react to key words and phrases, so if they use those words and phrases we'll blindly follow them.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I love this!!!

Even though Trump was open to renegotiating the "accord" the euroweenies told him to shove it. That means we are totally out of this farce!!!!

Euro elites are so friggin smart.

As to going to state governments, hit up Illinois. I hear they are only few billion in the rears on current bills. Not that you could because states have no rights to set up treaties with foreign governments.

I've noticed it sounds as if the media is trying to spin this as if every U.S. company, or a majority, oppose what Trump did.

I predict Moonbeam Brown will ask the federal government for a few billion to kick into the $100B global green slush fund.

Reactions at Occupy Dimwits and Occupy Democrats Logic on FB are hilarious, along the lines of "What?  States can pass laws and act INDEPENDENTLY of the Federal government?!?  Inconceivable!" and "Amazing, suddenly the Left believes in the Tenth Amendment!"

I think this is great...great for MY state, because only the morons in tax Hells like California, Illinois, and the Mid-Atlantic/New England will bite this poison apple.  With Illinois next door, this could an incredible boon for the economies of the surrounding, more rational States, like us in MO, providing more of a boost that a generation's worth of State programs.  And the stupid bastards can't impose tariffs or special taxes to keep our stuff out for very-well-established Constitutional reasons.

This would be grounds for a CEO's firing and possibly a class action lawsuit.

The class action jackals would have to get in line behind the shareholder derivative suit lawyers.

All moonbeam has to do is raise the gas tax another buck. All those rich folk out there will be happy to pay more because the extra tax is going to save the planet. and all the unicorns and faries will live happily ever after. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The EU countries better watch what they do.  Piss off President Trump enough and he might just decided to start closing some of our military bases over there.  Hell the EU countries don't want to pay 2 percent of the GDP for defense... wait until they have to start funding their entire defense if the US decides to tell them they are on their own.  Especially if President Trump publicly states that the US will not come to their rescue when the ruskies decide to move in.

That outrage shit can cut both ways real easy.

Unfortunately, the Eastern Europeans are between them and Russia.  Said Eastern Europeans are rather receptive to NATO and the US presence in their countries.  If you noticed, of the five countries that do pay their NATO dues, three of them are in Eastern Europe (the other two are the US and Britian).  They would have no problem invoking Article 5 of the NATO Charter if the Russians attacked them, and we would have no problem coming to their defense (as should all of the other NATO nations).  The slackers of the West, well, wouldn't get the full brunt of the Russian advance for a few days--and after the Poles, Slovenians, Lituanians, Latvians, etc. had taken their toll of the Russians.

  • ha ha, charade you are

This is great!
Now, the liberal infestations such as CA and NY can pickup the entire bill.
who wants to take bets on them changing their minds when they see the bill... and that it will be coming out of their local budget? You know, the ones that are already so far in the red that they will never see daylight?  haha.. what a joke.
Who cares? Well... except the poor SOB's who are stuck living in states with those bastards.
The EU is just pissed because the whole program revolved around financing nearly the whole thing on the backs of the US taxpayers.
Screw them, every last one of em
