Obama launches Harley ad ("buy american", urges BHO)
« on: August 13, 2008, 10:33:41 AM »

this is the standard boilerplate protectionist crap that you hear from liberals that are running for president,
but . . . um . . . well . . . all things considered, does The BarackStar!, the international man of mystery, really
want to be urging voters to "buy american"? :-)

this concluded WE's cheap shot of the day. :innocent:

Quote
Obama launches Harley ad
Radio spot in York market targets McCain's stance on trade.

Saying its candidate's plan would protect American jobs like those inside York County's Harley-Davidson plant, the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama launched a radio ad Tuesday attacking Sen. John McCain's stance on the issue.

The ad came the day McCain visited York County for a town hall-style discussion at the York Expo Center's Toyota Arena.

According to a script released by the Obama campaign, the ad begins with McCain speaking at a South Dakota motorcycle rally.

McCain says he would take the roar of Harleys over the roar Obama received from a German crowd while touring overseas.

The rest of the ad rebukes McCain for not supporting a requirement to mandate the American government buy American-made motorcycles, saying McCain called the idea "disgraceful."

Uhhhh I know a LOT of Harley riders .... myself included and I can't name a single one that will be pulling the lever for the Barrackstar.

I think that the Harley folks know what BHO is up to.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

i didn't realize that harley-davidson was that hurting for business that they needed the barack bump... judging by the waiting lists for certain models at the local dealerships, they must just be getting hammered

*eyeroll*

I"ll scan it and post it later. My dad has owned Harleys forever. He even owned three when they were crap and would fall apart. He's been loyal through thick and thin.

He also collected HD shirts everywhere he went. Some of them are hysterical. I have a picture of my brother wearing one that says "Buy American - The Job you save my be your own"

I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I am obviously the only one in the country that thought BHO saying "buy american" was funny.

No it is funny. But its even funnier because of HD. The HD riders aren't exactly his demographic.

if BHO thinks we should be buying American then perhaps Joss Stone (English) is not the best choice to record his theme song ?
