9. Why is there this false dichotomy? There are more choices than he goes free or rots in prison. How about he is set to serve life but could get his sentence reduced to ten years for testifying? These sorts of plea bargains are made all the time, and they are all about reduced sentences.

of course... he hasn't actually, you know, broken any laws and shit...
