NYT Reporter Calls Melania Trump ‘Hooker’

 First Lady Melania Trump was called a “hooker” by a New York Times reporter, and the paper issued a statement saying it has “talked” to them “about the lapse” in judgment, presumably.

The comment was made during New York Fashion Week and wasn’t done in an official capacity. But model Emily Ratajkowski overheard the private conversation and called it out on Twitter:

Here’s the NYT’s response:

    "At a party last night, a Times reporter who does not cover Washington or politics, referred to an unfounded rumor regarding Melania Trump. The comment was not intended to be public, but it was nonetheless completely inappropriate and should not have occurred. Editors have talked to the reporter in question about the lapse.”

Melania Trump launched a $150 million libel suit against The Daily Mail for running a story falsely accusing her of working for an escort service in the ‘90s.

Mrs. Trump tagged Ratajkowski in a Twitter reply which reminded liberals to live by their own standards:
