On CNN Thursday, UC Berkeley professor and former Democratic Secretary of Labor Robert Reich suggested the anti-Trump riots on campus were actually a right-wing plot to delegitimize liberals.

“I was there for part of last night, and I know what I saw and those people were not Berkeley students,” Reich said. “Those people were outside agitators. I have never seen them before.”

“There’s rumors that they actually were right-wingers. They were a part of a kind of group that was organized and ready to create the kind of tumult and danger you saw that forced the police to cancel the event,” Reich insisted. “So Donald Trump, when he says Berkeley doesn’t respect free speech rights, that’s a complete distortion of the truth.”

“You think it’s a strategy by or right-wingers?” asked host Don Lemon.

7. I know quite a few anarchists. They are the most peaceful people I know. Some are teachers, library workers, medical workers. It's a philosophy like any other, and only in America does the term always have violent connotation They are also the most responsible people that I know. But I can tell you that just about any march or demonstration around here attracts anarchists who deliberately make trouble. This goes back to the protests before the invasion of Iraq. They ruin just about everything. I was amazed they didn't show up for the Women's March in Oakland. Maybe because it was during day time, which makes it difficult for the assholes to disguise their identities.

A few of them were arrested in Berkeley. It would be interesting to find out who they are.

The truth of it all is pretty easy to summarize:

1.) Prog outside organizers got together with some students (a small number thereof in a school with 10s of thousands of students) gathered and printed materials (fireworks, rocks, flammables, signs) and advertised their "protest";

2.) Using people who came on their own initiative as a human smokescreen the organized Progs went violent, as planned, and rioted;

3.) The riot became too great and notorious for the MSM to minimize, and most Americans reacted with disgust and anger at the rioters;

4.) Libs & Progs like Reich and DU-folk are trying to deflect that disgust and anger with silly conspiracy theories.


Libs & Progs need to  :ownit:  and reevaluate their stances, strategies, and tactics based on their fruit.


Not that I harbor any illusions that they that kind of self-awareness and honesty.
