With Reid Gone From The Senate, ‘Kate’s Law’ Back on the Table

Kate’s Law is named after Kate Steinle who was murdered by an illegal alien that was a convicted felon from Mexico. Kate’s Law “amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to increase penalties applicable to aliens who unlawfully reenter the United States after being removed.”

    Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) told Bill O’Reilly that there is a good chance of “Kate’s Law” arriving on President Trump’s desk in the near future.

    The bill, which calls for a five-year mandatory minimum prison sentence for aggravated felons who are illegal immigrants, was drafted in response to the murder of Kathryn Steinle, a California woman shot while walking on a pier with her father.

    “Today’s orders [relating to illegal immigration] are an example of strong leadership by President Trump,” Cruz said.

O’Reilly went on to note that Democrat Harry Reid was the Law’s biggest opponent and that now since he is gone the door has been reopened for the Law to be passed.

Explaining my sarcasm: DiFei was Mayor of SF 1978-1988; Kamala Harris had been DA of SF prior to becoming CA AG (Steinle was killed during Kammy's second term as AG); Steinle's killer, a 5-time deportee, should be a poster boy displaying the lunacy of Sanctuary City ordinances.
