Minor correction there.  The freaking Congressional GOP practically broke themselves in two helping Obama.  They literally gave Obama more than he asked for in the last budget, for cryin' out loud!

Obama has had virtually no resistance from the GOP throughout his entire term.  He had every opportunity to work with Congress had he merely asked.  He never did.

I recall on the other hand that when the then-U.S. Senator from New York was interviewed for the Secretaryship of State, even the Republicans asked only softball questions.

They asked not a single question about foreign relations and foreign policy.

They instead asked really stupid stuff like if she was willing to give fringe-benefits to same-sex couples employees of the department.

The Obozo administration and lawmakers who enabled him the past eight years were not people who took government seriously.  It--we--were just a toy for them.

If the Dems continue to scream and pout and obstruct enough and keep flipping the bird to the millions of good people who put Trump in the Whitehouse, what already promises to be a 2018 Senatorial bloodbath for the Dems might transform itself into an extinction level event.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.  :bird:

I started to read this screed and was wondering who on DU could be that ignorant. Then I looked at the author and it made sense. Donald Trump was elected President in compliance with the US Constitution; Donald Trump chose his nominees and submitted them to Congress for approval in compliance with the US Constitution; the Senate is performing their "advise and consent" in compliance with the US Constitution and the customary process that will culminate in an approval-rejection vote.

TMN simply hates Trump, everything about Trump, and anyone Trump would appoint ("down" to the level of assistant apprentice janitor). But TMN is disingenuously wrapping his hatred and bitterness in the Constitution, trying to smokescreen what even his few disciples and peers-in-hatred easily recognize.

I'm pretty sure they're non-learners.  So much of this is a repeat of 2001 and 2005 that it's rather apparent to me that they didn't manage to learn a damn thing in the intervening sixteen years.
