Bernie and Elizabeth gearing up to head

the progressive part of the Democratic Party:

While the Democratic Party is still reeling from the shock of Donald Trump’s upset victory in November, progressives are already planning for how to effectively react to the upcoming Trump administration — and reclaim the party for one of their own in 2020.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Trump mentioned this during his Carrier speech, something that surprised him. The #1 issue for Carrier was not taxes - that was significant, just not #1. The #1 issue for Carrier was excessive regulations (and probably uncertainty as to what the regulocrats would do to them next). That would also be a major concern for Ford and US Steel, who have said they plan to bring jobs back to the US. Given Jesse Jackson's shakedown of tech companies, I would not be at all surprised if regulations and regulocratic caprice were major concerns for IBM.

Won't work. The hillbots don't like the bern because they see him as a spoiler, and the bern-outs don't like Fauxcahontas because she didn't endorse the bern in the primary. Besides, Fauxcahontas has about as much appeal to the general public as a bad rash.

So yes, they need to do it.

A bad rash. That's a good description of what she looks like when she's yelling with her mouth gaping, which is all the time.

Sprint and another company are bringing 5000 and 3000 jobs to the US as well.

If only Obama had that "magic wand"for the last 8 years that Trump seems to have, huh?
Amazing the stark differences between how a belly-aching community agitator and an accomplished businessman approach the problem of job creation, isn't it?

Sprint and another company are bringing 5000 and 3000 jobs to the US as well.

There are many factors in play in such decisions. Outsourcing customer support to countries where people fluent in English are not that common was never a good move, especially in tech fields. I'm sure customer satisfaction has suffered considerably, and the issues are communication and problem resolution, not race. India's business culture also includes far greater job-hopping that here in the US as well, leaving the expertise level in customer support groups fairly low.

Factors like that are companies' issues to work through. But what Trump offers the business climate - all businesses, not just cronies - is more reasonable taxation and curtailing regulatory excesses and uncertainty. Uncertainty is huge when businesses consider long-term investments. Capricious regulocrats allowed to run wild kill investment and jobs.
