DUmmies dreading getting together with family this year

Brand new campfire, but hopefully it will attract a few other primitives to dance around it.  The OP is hilarious as a stand-alone post anyways:

Does anyone besides me feel like having a drink
before getting together with their family?

It usually ends up okay, but still there are always the questions.

"So where are you working now?"

I'm not. I'm on disability again and no I don't foresee being able to work full time again. Thanks for asking. Please pass the wine.

"It's a shame you gained back all that weight."

Yes, thanks for reminding me. By the way, I'm fat, not blind. Please pass the mashed potatoes.

"So, are you seeing anyone?"

No. I'm unemployed and obese. I'm not sure I would want to date anyone who would want to date me and no, I'm not a lesbian. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) Please pass the eggnog. Yes, the rum too.

Hm, that almost seems like a subtle poking of the hive.

You know you may be right.  It's only managed to attract one up-twinkle thus far and still no replies.

Is there ever a holiday when DU-folk don't dread getting together with their (saner) family? Possibly excepting a year or two when they relished stirring up some @#$%?

You gotta love it when they confirm all the stereotypes: "disabled" (probably "anxiety" or something similar), fat, ugly and single.

This year will be particularly fun for the sane ones.  When Trump comes up (he will) the sane ones can gloat, justlike the libtards did in 2008 (and point that out).  The meme that hiLIARy won "the popular vote" is easily swatted away by adding "in California" and everyone should know that by now.

...  When Trump comes up (he will) the sane ones can gloat, justlike the libtards did in 2008 (and point that out).  ,,.

The ending of that :bouncy: I told yesterday about the FB discussion of the Christmas play cancellation "news" story and the harassment of Ivanka & family was that, despite my avoiding taking it political, my Prog FB Friend posted a snarl to the effect that she wished Donald Trump would leave the US alone and not do the evil things he has planned. I'm not going to respond, no point. That the upshot of the two topics was that Fox News and Breitbart.com had unarguably been falsely accused of something that didn't even happen and that a couple of PC-Progs had unarguably behaved pettily childish was probably painful enough for her.

So, yeah, Trump will likely come up, and probably more often than not, by the DU-member. Trump is the flame into which DU-style Progs can't resist diving.

I wasn't touching that line with a 10-foot German (unlike many people, I refrain from picking on the Poles).

If you take what the dummie said at face value I would say literally self descriptive.  Even if you don't take it at face value it is probably self descriptive.   :rotf:

Last night was the first of the Christmas family gatherings.  Went to a party and took the moonbat stepson along.  The only remotely political talk was the bitching about no good jobs anymore around here.  My stepson has tempered his views over the years, since leaving college especially.  He got a job in NYC with a very nice wage ($75/hour).  He got a load of the rape-y deductions taken out of that very nice wage and rethought things through.

One Christmas actually was ruined one year, when he stomped out of the house after arguing politics with his dad, before even opening presents.  His sister stomped out with him.  I gathered these presents and stored them in a closet.  The following year, I set them out again without a word.  They were clearly one year old, rumpled, etc.  Everyone was a little embarrassed and it has never happened again.  What a terrible thing to do, to ruin someone's Christmas, after all the work and expense that goes into doing it right.   Just because you feel like having a temper tantrum doesn't mean you can go ahead and have one.

That is a shitty thing to say to someone.  Most uncivilized.   I think these are conversations she's having with herself.

Or it's another way of saying, "For someone who is supposedly destitute you sure haven't missed any meals."

She's definitely not saying "no, thanks" to the mashed potatoes, wine, eggnog, and rum at the family's Christmas dinner!

My family is mostly flaming Liberals. They think Michael Moore is a font of wisdom. I never dread meeting up with them. Mostly they do not talk politics When they do, I politely shut my mouth and let them be. I never felt the need to correct them.

They know I'm a conservative. and they do not taunt or boast, they treat me like family, not a monster. Respect. Some libs are capable of that...just not DUmmies.

Yes indeed.  We saw one of the sisters tonite, who announced she voted for Hillary (her husband went Trump).  I said not a word.  My husband was angry with his sister about it, later, after we got home.  Why be angry?  Presidents come and go.  This is Christmas, Christ is King.
