Do you hate the abuse of your liberties by having Onstar?

OnStar-permission to spy on you. I'm sure it has helped some people, but this might work both ways.

Just a fleeting thought.

It took a while to figure out what "Onstar" is; for such non-greedy "non-materialists," the primitives sure seem to be state-of-the-art on just about every toy and gizmo and gadget.

1. I won't have it. I don't even have a cell phone. They can track them, too.

3. I don't even like the idea of those boxes under the seat

You know, the ones that log all of your car's movements with an accelerometer?

They can pull those things our of your car with a court order in case of an accident.

Yet, we're not informed they're there and have no access to the data inside.

24. The computers in most cars sold record about 30 seconds of the last operation, so....

they can tell what speed you were doing, if you hit your brakes, and lots of other data.

5. There is NO "abuse of your liberties."

If you're dumb enough to sign up for On-Star and expect that you won't be tracked, that is another issue.

But this isn't an issue of "liberties." This is a service people sign up for. If you don't want General Motors (and it's list subscribers) tracking you, don't get On-Star.

So close.  Now if they'll just change the word "On-Star" to "Social Security", make it a service people can sign up for should they wish, and allow people to opt out and get a refund of what they've paid in over the years, we got a deal.

On-Star and Satellite Navigation is great and I can't wait to get one of those devices for my cars.
Please track me.

Remember that genius dud who was one of the founders of Iron Butterfly that eneded up dying in a canyon somewhere?  I am sure he would have loved to have onstar or a cell phone with GPS.

These people are dumber than a bag of hammers.

Friend of my brothers wife run her car off the highway during a snowstorm a couple yrs back.  The snow completely covered the car. Rescuers found her by tracking her cell phone signal. Her cell battery went dead about 5 minutes before they found her.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
