It's not a coincidence that actually counting votes in the United States is this hard.
True. Laws to discourage frivolous election challenges have been around in the US for decades, if not a couple of centuries. Looking over the list of PA's Governors, there have been as many Ds as Rs. Evidently neither the Ds nor the Rs found PA's laws regarding recounts excessively onerous, so Ds and Rs alike "own" those laws. Also, Rs and Ds are subject to those laws, equally. It's their response, when losing, that has been different.
I realize not many DU-folk and similarly "minded" Libs & Progs would acknowledge it - their ox has been gored, flayed, eviscerated, butchered, and barbecued - but PA's citizens and taxpayers have a very significant interest in PA's governance not being rendered chaotic and in PA's treasury not being raided by frivolous and protracted election challenges.
