My democratic congresswoman won, too, with over 60% of the vote. Not all Democrats lost their elections. Just not enough of them won to regain control of the Senate. All is not lost. We've just made a right turn when going left was the right choice. Maybe the GPS mapping was wrong. Maybe Google Maps showed the wrong direction on people's print-out. I don't know.
Was that an attempt at a joke? The mapping shit?

Depending on your state, every other person you see is likely to support Donald Trump. In a few states, it might just be one out of three, while in others it will be almost two out of three. They might not look different from other people, but they voted for a racist, misogynistic, gay-hating bigot for President. They think they did exactly the right thing. They think they voted wisely. Why does that matter? Because we're now in the minority in most states. We're not those things. We stand out, now, because we hold views that have become minority views. It's frightening, isn't it? We'll, we're going to have to get used to it and find new ways to change people's minds, because if we don't, we'll get more Donald Trumps running things. Look around at the people you encounter in passing. Can you tell which ones support Trump? Most often you can't.
