Speaking from the perspective of living some 50 miles south of SF, I hope Trump cuts SF off!
The SF area is a beautiful area - natural beauty, architecture, museums, history, and more. On a more personal level, there are a LOT of races run in and about SF and on the Marin Peninsula, just north of the Golden Gate (getting to Marin would entail driving through SF and crossing the Golden Gate Bridge). I avoid SF as much as possible. Part of that avoidance is the lunacy of driving and parking in SF (I'll take BART from Millbrae and walk 2 or 3 miles in SF rather than try to drive there!). Another part is the way Lib/Prog governance has made SF a SEWER. It is literally so bad that escalators from BART stations have to be repaired with some frequency due to the urinary and fecal "gifts" deposited in them by the sacred homeless (who will suddenly become a national crisis on January 20, 2017).
There are several major half marathons (1000s of runners in each) run in SF every year, and I don't know how many other smaller events. Obviously, they are run in Golden Gate Park, The Presidio, Crissy Field, along the Great Highway (ocean beaches), and crossing the GGB, not in the Tenderloin or Hunters Point. There's a lot I could enjoy in those races, but the only one I've done was in 2013, and it was a gift from my son (who also ran in it). I don't foresee doing another race in SF any time soon.
