What does it take to impeach a Senator (if possible)?

Or bring a charge of conspiracy for treason?

1. Its not possible.

The Senate and House have a right to expel members of their body. But not impeachment. That precedent was set in 1797 when the House impeached a Senator and the Senate refused to consider it.

That aside McCain is not guilty of treason. Treason is one of the few crimes defined in the Constitution. Article III, Section 3 defines treason as: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

McCain is not guilty of any of that.

2. What law requires him to consent to any nominee?

So, if a Senator doesn't do something which is within that Senator's lawful ability to do or not to do, then you think they should be charged with a capital offense?

That's not how our system works. If the people of Arizona want a Senator who will oppose the President's nominee, they can elect one. If they want a Senator who will not oppose the President's nominee, they can elect one.

It's called a democratic system of government. The people can elect any asshole for whom a majority of them vote.

5. I'll never understand DU's obsession

With charging everyone with treason. It's just weird on a progressive board.

7. Please, go to your local community college and take a basic civics class.

This post is embarrassing.

Damn right it's embarrassing.  That's why this thread ended up here in the DUmpster.

As I've advised and counseled the primitives too many times to count--but they won't pay attention--if a primitive doesn't want to be displayed in the DUmpster for all to mock and ridicule, the primitive shouldn't say anything stupid.

That's all there is to it; make no stupid comments, make no appearance here.

11. Seriously?

You cannot impeach a Senator, and a Senator is never going to be expelled for how he or she votes, nor should they be. Leave it to Trump to want to lock up his political opponents. We don't do that.

<<<thinks the primitive ^^^ needs to talk to ol' Bob about that.

Primitives showing their asses.  They need to stick with their standard solution of treason trial followed by firing squad.

I'm scared, I agree with a DUmmy.  I also want Juan McCain out of politics.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

It is scary! I've hoped for over a decade that AZ voters would vote him into involuntary retirement.

Treason?  That's a stretch.  Every primitive worth his salt knows that what McCain is guilty of is a Logan Act violation.

McCain is probably one of the most lib friendly GOP politicians out there. Do they care? Nope. He's a "Republican" so he has to go. Damn.

John McCain cannot be impeached. He needs to retire.
