so, this year I have all jr high. love the curriculum. had a kid cut his pubes in class

instead of cutting what he should have been.

I did not actually see it, but 5 other students did.

I sent him to the buddy teacher and emailed the principal and how I should proceed.

"why was he sent to buddy room and not the 5 that called him out"

um

okay

2. lesson learned

mom was furious at HIM and said she would come sit with him tomorrow. Said it will NOT be an issue ever again.

Man, that's a kid with a real problem, if mom has to come sit with him in class to be sure he doesn't cut the hair on his groin.

One suspects the kid shouldn't even be in school, but rather locked up with the subway cat in a small room with soft walls.

3. Why did he do that?

One would think he'd be proud to have them. I cut (shaved) mine once when I was a kid, don't know why, and itched like hell till they grew back. But I'm a dumbass.

4. I suspect you didn't cut yours with witnesses while in class.

That's what I get out of the OP.

Just goes to show what extent students will go to get out of Pam's class.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Isn't she teaching at the 'last chance' high school in her system anyways? :whistling:

What exactly is a buddy teacher? I guess things have changed since I was in school.

I remember punishments like standing in the corner or writing something like "I will not talk in class" several hundred times for minor issues. Anything above that resulted in the teacher paddling your ass. If the issue was so serious the teacher feared he or she would be tempted to beat you to death you were sent to the principle who either beat your ass or suspended you.

My guess is that these are students with a variety of problems, and there is a "buddy teacher" back-up, maybe handling issues from 2 or 4 classes as they arise, in between classes and the principal or vice principal.

I agree with "Person #s" that it's odd that the principal thought the 5 who reported the "barber" should have been sent to the "buddy room".

On a very different tack, it was very unwise and unprofessional for "demtenjeep" to post about this incident in a public place. It would not take super-hacker grade Internet skills to figure out where she lives and teaches, and possibly figure out who some of her students are (the skills to learn all that are well beyond me, but I don't think it would take the degree of skills necessary to hack into the DNC's email).

My fixed rule, dating back nearly 20 years, has been that I do not speak of my employer in public places like Internet discussion sites or FB; and infrequently and in limited ways about past employers (even the several that no longer exist).
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

I agree also, but we are operating on the premise that demtenjeep is being honest. Considering her history it's probably not the wisest premise we could operate upon.
