alt-right=online trolls.

joy reid just mentioned gamer gate.

we know a lot about them in mra.

i also remember chris hayes' stories about how they ran the first couple of gun dealers who sold smart guns out of business by the smearing them online.

and we know how much havoc they have played right here. old timers remember andy stephenson's story.

they were all over me for a while.

anything, they go after anything.

and they are doing their best to make the internet suck. it isnt just that they have their little enclaves. it is that they go shit on everyone else's.

hmmmm.

<<<wonders to whom Big Mo's referring; wish she'd be a little more clearer.

1. Nazi dead-enders. They attacked Julia Ioffe from GQ, Andrew Weinstein, Leslie Jones.

Simultaneously trying to hide from sight and brag about how famous Hillary made them.

Dipsos. Im sorry to hear they got onto you, personally.

2. got my own local branch.

my neighborhood has a reputation for, well, individuality. me included.

i have a little urban farm. when i got into some hassles w the city it was a local story. the trolls that came out. omg.

the main troll here had been following me around the web, and found posts here in the mental health forum and posted them all over the local blogs. fun times.

but that is who they are. old 4chan trolls, for the 21st century.

<<<suspects Big Mo's real problem is that being buxom in bed, she misses hopping around in the sack with her former husband.

3. And there was already a large low tech population of right wing nazi types floating around the outer

perimeter of Chi, and groups of neo nazi skinheads inside.

I'm low tech, so don't understand 4chan vs 8chan, and just started getting up to speed on info about the high tech end of the nazis. I remember the fictional portrayal of the Order in Debra Winger's movie Betrayed (in 1988), watching them travel from the country to Chicago to pull an inside bank job, watching Berenger's neo nazi character hooking into his online nazi underground with a computer that had old style text to sound technology, watching the group go and assassinate Alan Berg in Denver, etc.

Your city farming idea is important. I lack the land in Pittsburgh, but you're doing the right thing. I deal with some colorful local fauna, but never had them on my case personally in a high tech way, as well as having them be a a possible physical presence to deal with. But their attacks are never about just fun, they're about 'dealing' with a perceived 'threat'. Gutless nazi swinish jagoffs.

Bev Harris vs Andy S occurred before I ever saw this site. I don't know her part in it, and if all of her election work is suspect because of it. I never knew him or saw his posts.

4. when we tried to raise money for andy's cancer surgery

(after bev had screwed him on his health insurance) the wingnuts caught wind of it, and it became quite a thing. they screwed up the donation fund, by donating $1, then complaining that the funder was a scam.

whether or not the time they wasted cost him his life or not, it sure cost him his chance at life.

and bev, well, i think aside from being a scammer, she is not very bright. there was a big story about a bag of trash found outside a polling place that had results tapes in it. well, voting systems automatically spit out a certain number of tapes. you file them in different ways, post them, give them to poll watchers, etc. it is not uncommon for there to be extras. that is all she found, but she made it sound like the story of the century. you only have to serve as a judge once to know this stuff.

6. Thanks for the background, mo.

I've been majority inspector for a bunch of elections in Pgh. I've received majority inspector and judge training before. We vote on ess ivotronics, and get the taped printouts before and after the election.

5. and yeah, colorful local fauna.

got them up close and personal, and all over the web. really disturbing the way they fit together.

i love my farm, and for every person that gives me grief there are dozens that stop me all the time to tell me how much my farm means to them. and yeah, i am a big threat to the property values in one of the hottest hoods in the COUNTRY.

7. I don't know your neighborhood, or Chicago well. I've been there a few times, around 5 or 6, and

actually hitched through the western city part, north to south, then east to Gary, on my way between Rapid City and Pittsburgh. I don't know if it's an apt comparison or if you would regard it as impolite to say it sounds like your area is like some parts of Brooklyn or Portland.

I hope you have a good harvest season, and that the dipshit righties vanish like the hemorrhoids they are. I always keep a lookout, and stay aware of my surroundings. I know you do, also.

Well, whoever Big Mo's "main troll" is, congratulations!

Internet trolls exist on both sides.  Not just in politics, but sports as well.  Certainly in those who follow entertainment.

Alt Right has become the new talking point for the Left. Once Hillary mentioned it in her racism speech, the Liberals at DI started making everyone who wasn't voting for her a white supremacist.

Its really just 4chan forum for teens, its not very big. But Hillary's lies are gospell for the primitives.
At DI, the libs have no idea what they are talking about, but are all experts on the Alt Right.

its all rather silly to read

Big Mo forgets that if she and her pals weren't so silly, there'd be nothing to make fun of, and hence no trolls to torment her.

...and that is, essentially,  all there is to it.

"Alt-Right" seems to be some one's attempt - by an outsider - to describe an ad hoc group/phenomenon they believe exists and is growing on the conservative side of politics, while distinguishing them from mainstream conservatives. It's not just Libs & Progs who are using the term and criticizing the people of that POV. Walter Hudson of the solidly conservative website PJMedia.com has written an article about the "Alt-Right", in which he describes what he says are some of their distinctive views.

Because "Alt-Right" is not a formally organized group or party, but "is" an ad hoc group/phenomenon "identified" and named by outsiders, there is no real fixed definition of what an "Alt-Right-er" is, does, or believes. IOW, "Alt-Right", like "Neocon" or "Dominionist" is an amorphous bogeyman, and as mo-mo demonstrated, is already being slung about with the basic meaning, "people whose views I hate," to the degree "Alt-Right" has any meaning at all. So, on the Lib/Prog side of things, look for "Alt-Right" to be the new "neocon" - just as meaningless, not as worn out, and just as fascist or Hitlerian or something like that, if you l know what I mean (and if you know what I mean, could you explain it to me?).
