The delusional hubris of the Sarah SilvermansWe all cheer when a Sarah Siilverman or other celebrity endorses our candidate. But – that is because she endorses our candidate, nothing more than that.Silverman, when she endorsed Bernie, said she considered all of the issues. And Bernie was her guy. Because of the issues. Guess what? The issues are still there, and Hillary is the polar opposite of Bernie on most of them. The ones she agrees with Bernie on? Hillary is just pandering and lying. And I totally don’t care about that “first woman†crap. What, people should be happy to be in debt, to be sent to kill and be killed, to lose their jobs, to have fracking poison their water – because a WOMAN enables those things? That is pathetic.Sarah, no one was waiting to see who you supported. No one switched from supporting Hillary to supporting Bernie because of your endorsement. And no one is going to switch to supporting Hillary instead of Bernie on your say-so. Must have been quite the rude awakening, eh? We are not “Beliebersâ€, we are not unquestioning followers of a pop star.Your hubris in thinking that your endorsement overrides actual issues (that would not actually harm YOU) is pathetic. So take your “kick-ass woman†bullshit somewhere else – yeah, Hillary does like kicking ass, but it won’t be your ass, it will be our asses. Our jobs, our health care, our student debt, our dying in ego and money driven wars. Not you. You will just keep on being a celebrity, and make little faces and snide comments about people who, as astounding to you as it may be, do not take direction from you on issues that will affect their lives, and the world, in a very bad way. There won’t be fracking in YOUR back yard. You can afford the finest health care. You won’t have to go to war. So – shut the **** up.That goes for all endorsements, really, for me.I care about the ISSUES, not celebrity endorsements. As far as smirking Stuart Smalley / Al Franken is concerned – same thing. Why the **** would I support a warmongering Third Way neocon Neoliberal on a celebrity’s or a politician’s say-so? The issues don’t matter? And – last night my son, who doesn’t really get involved with politics, asked me to be sure to take him along when my grandson and I go to vote for Alan Grayson on August 20, and then go to the supervisor of elections office and change our affiliation. So he can resign from the Democratic Party, too. We never talked about this, but he has come to the conclusion that four years of Trump would be better than eight years of Hillary. You know what I will take away from the endorsement thing? I won’t be supporting anyone who jumped on the Hillary bandwagon willingly. No money, no votes, no support. I will not support the Third Way.
soon as you find your manhood all else falls into place.
If Ft. Hood was "workplace violence," then the Hindenburg was an air show.
I don't know if sand glows in the dark, but we're gonna find out.

OK, can't resist the irony, what is her DU name? "djean111" is, evidently, a Floridian, but is she some one familiar on the DU side of the coin? That rant, also ironically, comes close to saying, "Shut up and sing".
