It's too good to be true.
Mayor Kenney has said that he thinks (from today's
New York Post):
Pope Francis is "freaking awesome" but Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput is "not Chrisitan" because of his recent guidelines on divorce and remarriage. Yet, writes Alexandra DeSanctis at National Review, the two clerics agree on Catholic teachings. The mayor regularly touts his Catholic education, she notes, yet he doesn't comprehend that Chaput's recently stated guidelines reiterate "longstanding Catholic teaching." And he seems to have "missed the times when Pope Francis espoused teaching--longstanding Catholic teaching--similar to Chaput's guidelines."
A real "rocket surgeon" in the Mayor's office in Philly.
