Courthouse shooter accused of keeping teen in shed for sex, videotaping acts

When he was arrested in April, Larry Gordon, 44, of Coloma, had been found keeping a teenaged girl in a shed against her will for almost two weeks, forcing sex and videotaping the acts, authorities said Wednesday.

Since late January Gordon was being sought for an outstanding warrant for domestic violence, a 93-day misdemeanor, according to a news release from the Berrien County Prosecutor's Office.

After several attempts to execute the warrant, on April 20, 2016 officers from the Coloma Township Police Department went to his home on Tannery Road where Gordon lived with his ex-wife. They saw a light on in a shed on the property and discovered Gordon was inside.

Gordon attempted to escape custody Monday, July 11 after an arraignment inside Berrien County Courthouse, when he disarmed a deputy and opened fire, killing two bailiffs.
