Well, one congressman fessed up.

Representative John Mica (R-Florida) just admitted why this interrogation is happening. He said it’s because he and his republican colleagues have to go home this weekend and ‘splain to their donors why the Republican director of the FBI couldn’t be brought on board for the witch hunt, and Republicans HATE having to be accountable to anyone for anything.

Come over here and post a link to where he said that.

The only reference to something said by Rep. Mica was this, on a CBS webpage:

Quote
12:19 p.m. In another tangential exchange, Rep. John Mica, R-Florida, questions whether Comey has seen the popular Broadway musical, Hamilton.

"Have you seen the Broadway production Hamilton?" Mica asked.

Comey replied: "Not yet. I'm hoping to."

Not having seen it, either, I guessing it was a cloaked characterization of Rep. Mica's opinion of Comey and what Comey has been doing. I seriously doubt DU-member mss's characterization of Mica's comment is remotely close to correct. But Libs & Progs gotta circle their wagons around The SHREW.

I'm starting to think letting her skate is doing far more damage to the skank that prosecuting her ever would have. Maybe... just maybe someone saw far enough ahead to realize that. I dunno... just trying to see some light in it all. I mean seriously... we all knew it wasn't going to happen.

If sent to a Washington DC grand jury, they likely wouldn't have indicted her.  Loretta Lynch would have found Hillary a way out. Comey was just the easiest one to make a scapegoat.

The more I think of it, the more I agree with this.

She was not indicted and not put on trial...  No catch-22. With a new president, new FBI director, and new AG, the investigation can be reopened and a different outcome can be had.  The statute of limitations will not have run out.

Depending on what happens in Nov. this may not be over...

For this type of crime, I don't think it ever runs out.

The more I think of it, the more I agree with this.

Also, think of the PR ramifications of republicans prosecuting the democrat nominee up for POTUS election. Regardless of intent, just imagine the field day liberals and media would have with that one. We would be listening to "republicans stole the election" BS for decades... even worse than the "hanging chads" fiasco.
As much as I wanted to see that witch prosecuted, I believe this was the right move; the public is in an absolute uproar. My issue is still that knowing democrats are so damned polarized by their narratives, I am concerned she will STILL beat Trump and we will be stuck with a nightmare SCOTUS scenario.
