It was half smoked. I guess it was a gesture of kindness. I can't decide if it was a nice thing to do or a well meaning assisted poisoning by a death merchant.

Let me translate, since I've read more Bouncy stories than I care to admit.

Said DUmmy flicked out an almost finished cigarette and scurried away quickly when a homeless person picked it up.  Laughed privately about what a loser the homeless guy is.  Jumped in his '87 Tercel being held intact by Dukakis/Bentsen and Che Guevara bumper stickers. Immediately got on his smart phone & posted this story at the DUmp.

We have several buckets with sand in them outside our shop for people to toss their butts in.  I've seen people going through them to get unsmoked bits of cigarettes out  of them.   Some people will take the tobacco out of them and smoke it in a pipe or roll their own cigarette.

In the spirit of the DUmmies spraining their arms patting themselves on the back, I once gave a homeless guy a half a pack.   :tongue:  He was very grateful.

Happens here as well.  Little beer joint I go to up the road during foot ball season is next to the bus stop.  See it every time I am there... if they don't outright beg for a smoke.  Can't smoke inside any business here. 

Back when I was in our mid town office a guy used to buy nasty russian cigs and give the bums one of them. 

If you want to have some fun, throw a couple of half dollars or a pack of cheap smokes into the middle of a group of them. Now that there can turn into a scrum.  :rotf:
