Well, duh.

The original goal of $5,000 was stated in the title.  I just never read it, and went from memory.

Sorry about that.

If she can slash it from $5000 to $2000 just like that, why can't she slash it to $500?

$5,000 for some miscellaneous art supplies?  She is such a grifter, and whoever sent in $145 is just plain retarded.  And does anyone ever remember doing dopey arts and crafts in history class?  What are they making with yarn and glue besides a big mess?  I'm glad noamety called her out on it.

What's scary is that she's using first- or second-grade-level "projects" for junior-high-school-aged kids.

Maybe I'm repeating what other(s) have posted, but her projects consume much time in exchange for learning but a little information. Her program verges on avoiding teaching information!

I realize San Jose, CA isn't wherever-the-@#$%-she-lives, KS, but Santa Clara County has a Teachers Resource Center at which teachers with something that identifies them as teachers can get a lot of the kinds of materials she wants with no cost to the teachers (beyond the time and gasoline to get there).

5. ...

all i know is it is expensive and i have not had a raise in 8 years

Ummmmm ... Governor Brownback became Governor in 2011. How is he responsible - even remotely - for her not getting raises in 2008, 2009, and 2010? In reality, teacher's contracts are negotiated at the district level, not in the Governor's office. IF her claim is true, she should focus her ire on her union and school district, not an ideologically tantalizing but irrelevant figurehead bogeyman.

But as frank so often says, "Dummies lie .... It took me, MAYBE, 30 seconds with Google to find that, not that DU-folk would think to nadin "wichita school teachers raises" (the search phrase I used)!

It seems like "another 3400 in other miscellaneous expenses" is a lot to request through gofundme.

Phraseology is a little off.  More accurately "another 3400 to line my pocket."

There.  See how it all tidies up with just some verbiage clarity?

So, then, no transteachers- people who sincerely identify as teachers, but have no teaching contract.

No, and it is such an intolerant policy. But a creative transteacher could create their own private transschool, create letterhead on MS Word or Publisher, and write an official letter on the letterhead that identifies them as the teacher they identify as being.

Transschool should be eligible for all sorts of Federal grants. The Feds love that trans- stuff.

So, I went and checked.

After five days, $145's been raised, $2,000 being the goal.

It looks to me as if Pamela downsized her expectations; I believe the original goal was $5,000.

Probably, franksolich. More likely is that Pam found some kind of discount for the cruise.

A smart panhandler never starts with an empty cup. He puts in some seed money to prime the pump.

It makes his marks feel guilty if they don't contribute the way some earlier people did.

A great example of this was when the Andyscam grifters flooded the DUmp with claims of their most recent contributions.

That's not to say Pam is smart - she's one of the DUmbest of all DUmpmonkeys.

Panhandlers just instinctively know some tricks of the trade.

Thankfully, Pam is so stupid, and her stupidity is so well known at the DUmp, her scams rarely get off the ground before someone calls her out.
